Daisuki! means I really like you... I guess I could call it Ai shite iru (I love you) but meh... I like daisuki- it sounds somehow very genki (energetic) :D I studied Japanese for many years and I occasionally think in Japanese- so is the case with this picture, I was thinking in Japanese when I drew it <_<;; so it gets to be daisuki :D ...forgive me if my Japanese is not good ^^;

It's Temuran and Jen from my webcomic [link] - Temuran is a hottie, or so I think, he gets cuter with each chapter :3 probably since he and Jen are falling in love- in any case I love him :heart: hearts for you Temuran :3

Please enjoy :nod:

The Japanese in general don't think much about their own language, so if you really want to dazzle a Japanese for a quite some time, just ask them what's the difference between 愛 (Ai), 恋 (Koi), and 好き (Suki), and then take a sit and watch as they try to explain. In simple terms, Ai is the general kind of love like between best friends or family members. Koi is the carnal kind of love shared between lovers, while Suki is the general term for "liking", which can basically apply to just about anything. Younger lovers will often use this last term because it is more informal and less compromising. The cutest thing is when Anime characters want to declare their love to another person, but they are too timid and get stuck at the "su" part of the word, like "su... su... su..." :D

ha ha :XD: yes, that is really cute :3
I didn't realize that Ai was such a platonic love form... it's true they don't think a lot about their own language... I remember stumping my Japanese sensei(s) many a time with questions that they had no idea of how to answer ^^; ...
Thanks ^_^

Like it is in most countries, people take their own language for granted and are caught by suprise when asked about specific terms that split one concept into different meanings that could potentially lead to the same idea - but with subtle differences. If you never thought about it, it can really be hard to explain such things to a foreigner. Another way to dazzle a Japanese is to ask them what's the difference between the grammatical particles "ha" and "ga". Again, take a sit and watch them try to explain it. :p In simple terms, there are 2 ways to use "ha" and "ga": for sentences with only one object, "ga" is used to emphatize it, while "ha" simply indicates it. For sentences with more than one object, "ha" is used to refer to the 1st one and "ga" is used to refer to the 2nd one. It's that simple! :D
